With Joe Biden just days away from taking over the White House, it’s looking like we could see another stimulus package during his first 100 days in office.

The question that we’re all wondering is: Are we going to finally see a return of the weekly $600 FPUC unemployment benefits?

While we still haven’t heard an explicit answer on the matter, the proposal is gaining steam and appears to have support from both Congress and Biden.

Senator Ron Wyden stated: “At this point, I’m telling everybody: ‘I’m pulling out all the stops for $600.’ … We are going to do everything we can to put hard-hit working families on an economic footing where they can get ahead.”

Jim Kessler, executive vice president at Third Way, explained: “Clearly, there’s a need. The new unemployment numbers are shocking. State and local aid has to be part of it. There will be additional stimulus checks. And you have to make sure unemployment benefits continue as well.”

With the weekly $600 unemployment benefits once again in play, I just hope that our leaders can finally bring back the disaster relief funds that were so necessary in 2020 to millions of struggling Americans.

Meanwhile, one of my favorite restaurants, Chipotle, is planning a massive hiring event this week, where they will look to employ 15,000 Americans.

On Thursday, Chipotle’s Coast To Coast Career Day will look to hire multiple positions at most locations across America, hopefully providing job opportunities for anyone looking to find new employment and eat some tasty burritos.

Marissa Andrada, Chipotle chief diversity, inclusion and people officer, explained: “We are fortunate to be experiencing growth during this unique time and want to safely provide an opportunity for purpose-driven individuals to join us on our mission of cultivating a better world.”

This is amazing news, and I hope that more companies across America can provide these job opportunities to hard working people in the coming months.

Finally, here’s the latest on the states that are paying out the weekly $300 FPUC unemployment benefits.

The following states have confirmed that they are currently paying these extended enhanced unemployment benefits: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia.

For everyone else, I know it sucks but you’ve got to be patient, as your states are currently in the process of delivering these weekly $300 unemployment benefits to millions of claimants, even stingy South Dakota.

Also, I still haven’t heard anything about the payment of the Mixed Income stimulus unemployment benefits for $100 a week.

If any of y’all start to receive this $100 boost, please let me know in the comments and we’ll spread the word!

If you still haven’t applied for unemployment assistance, do your Monday a favor and apply today.

Just visit your state’s PUA or UI website, show them your employment history and ID, and let them know that you’ve been out of work due to that thing out there.

For honestly and truthfully answering their questions, you could receive a backdated unemployment check for up to $20,000.

To all of the gig-workers, self employed, independent contractors, 1099 workers, even side hustlers, volunteers and freelancers, the PUA was made for you and has been extended to offer unemployment funds into March of 2021.
