The House of Commons marked International Women’s Day with a general debate in the Chamber on Thursday 11th March.
The theme for International Women’s Day this year is #ChooseToChallenge, and Members from across the House took part in the debate.
This debate was submitted to the Backbench Business Committee by Maria Miller MP and she was the Member to open proceedings.
This is one of many activities taking place across Parliament as part of the celebrations for Women’s History Month.
